Doing it for Dylan.
Water Safety Campaign – Teaching water safety & supporting bereaved families

Help us prevent
water deaths.
Each year an estimated over 235,000 people die unnecessarily from water-related deaths, either by misadventure, cold water shock, crime or suicide.
We teach about the risks in and around water safety, how to stay safe and what to do if you see somebody in trouble.

About the
Campaign.
Doing it for Dylan is a campaign set up in memory of Dylan Ramsay, who sadly died in 2011, aged 13 while swimming in a quarry in Chorley.
News and Events.
Beckie Ramsay has spent the years since her son Dylan died campaigning for greater awareness around water safety and particularly open water swimming…
Water Safety with
Charlie and Patch.
Meet Charlie.
Through Charlie’s misdemeanours, Patch will teach Charlie about the dangers in and around water and how to stay safe when visiting inland/coastal waters.

Meet Patch.
Patch has already learned about water safety through school and teaches Charlie the right way to behave safely in and around open water.
